Creating Digital Stories on Devices with No Internet Connection

Many teachers may not have Internet access available at their schools for students to use. Mobile devices have many features that work without Internet access. These features include the camera tool which allows students to take pictures and in many cases edit the pictures. Students can also record videos and audio. When learners capture content with these tools they are saved as clips. These clips can be uploaded to a computer and put together with iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

Another option is to have learners download apps that will work without an Internet connection once they are downloaded. VidTrim, VidEditor, BeFunky, Instagram, Pocket Wavepad HD, and QuoFx are a few apps that allow students to edit images, videos, and audio without an Internet connection.
