Students can use comics to express their emotions, especially when they are experiencing stressful situations. A student maybe struggling with the subject matter, a family situation, or a school situation.

In this activity, we will create comics expressing our feelings about taking this course. Think about your achievements and what you are struggling with in this course.

Follow these instructions:

1st Choose one of these suggested webtools to create your comic.

Click on the Comic Creation Symbaloo to be lead to that tool. Scroll down to see written descriptions of some of the tools. This resource is continuously updated.

• Creaza - Create comics, make movies, edit audio, and more! Embed in a blog or wiki.
• Bubblr - Create your comic strip with Flickr pictures and add bubbles to tell your story!
• Comicmaster - Cool graphic novel creator.
• Bitstrips - Not free, but offers a 30-day free trial and includes more educational support (e.g., activities) than most other comic generators.
• Make Beliefs Comix - Two, three and four panel comics that you can create in multiple languages.
• Comic Strip Generator - You can upload photos or use web images in addition to their library of ready-to-use images.
• Garfield - You can create comic strips or (in Comics Lab Extreme) comic books.
• ToonDoo - The site allows students to share their comics, comment on other comics, and even save and edit a copy of a comic.
• Phrase It - Add speech bubbles to pictures.

2nd Choose one of the tools above and create your comic. Then, open a text file or a Google doc and write about these fields:

• Comic Tool Description: Describe the features of the tool used.
• Tool Evaluation: Tell us what you liked about the tool and what you thought could be improved. Was it easy to use? Was the material on the site safe for students? Would you use this tool with students?
• Comic URL

3rd When you are ready, click con Add submission, upload your file and click Save and View so that your contribution is recorded. Once registered, you can modify at any time by clicking on Edit my submission, until you send it for grading by clicking on Submit assignment.

4th Use the course hashtag, #storytelling_INTEF, to spread the word about your comic if you are into Twitter.
