These free video editing apps allow students to add movie like special effects. These apps include, Action Movie (IOS), Creatures FX (IOS), and Foteo IOS.
The student chooses the type of effect from a variety of choices- a dinosaur on the scene, an earthquake erupting, a sudden explosion, etc. Then the student records a clip in which that effect is projected through augmented reality into the scene. The video clip is saved in the mobile device’s gallery. The student can then add the scene to a previous video using an editing app like VideoEditor for IOS or for VidTrim for Android. The student can also add the clip with iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.
